A clear number that sums up your real game. It comes from your results, not from what you think of yourself.
Your level is a number from 0 to 10 (with one decimal) that sums up how well you play. You do not choose it: the app calculates it only from your results, from your ELO. Beating better rivals raises it; losing to weaker ones lowers it. That way everyone speaks the same language to find balanced matches.
Your level is historical: it counts ALL your matches, not just this season, and it doesn’t reset when a new season starts. That’s why it’s the same whichever season you look at. Each season’s ranking (who’s top this year) is a separate thing — that one is per-season.
Every 2 points is a category. The number and the category always agree:
Next to the number you will see a colored dot that shows how much you can trust it, based on the matches you have played. More matches, more certainty:
For your first 5 matches we show no number: you will see “Calibrating”. With so little data the level would not be reliable, and we would rather not give you a premature number. Once you reach 5 matches, your level appears.
Play ranked matches and win. Beating rivals at your level or above raises it more; losing to weaker ones lowers it more. And the more matches you play, the more solid and reliable your level becomes.
No. ELO is still the engine underneath: it is what gets calculated after each match. The 0–10 level is just an easier way to read it. You can see your exact ELO in your profile, right next to the level.
